about us

Paris for the Philippines (PFTP)/ Gawad Kalinga(GK) was a non-profit association founded by seven Filipinos  residing in Paris who share a common thread-- love for the Philippines. Born after the deadliest typhoon (Haiyan/Yolanda) that struck the Philippines on November 8, 2013 with over 6,250 fatalities, the team quickly responded with a fundraiser event, Brunch for Love, and created their Love merchandise . The outcome was overwhelming with contributions and support from the Filipino, French and expat communities and has brought them to where they are today--with over180 international members online, motivated to spread the LOVE through their double-mission.

Our double mission is to promote within Paris the beauty of Filipino culture and to build hope and homes for disaster-affected communities in the Philippines.

We plan to execute our goal through various fundraising initiaitives and awareness campaigns highlighting all-things-"Pinoy" from our food, products, talents, entrepreneurs to our Filipino festivals.

We invite everyone, all nationalities, to be part of the PFTP and Gawad Kalinga (gk1world.com) family.
